Rekindling the Vision
February 4, 2012
8:30 am – 3 pm
On February 4th First Presbyterian Church will host a one day conference "Rekindling the Vision" with Ranald Macaulay as speaker. In three lectures and discussions he will seek to answer the single question: How did we loose our Christian Heritage? How did the European West change from being essentially Christian to a Secular, Humanist Culture? Rekindling the Vision tries to explain this by addressing three main areas: History, Philosophy and Spiritual Reality.
The conference will run from 8:30 am till 3 pm with coffee breaks and a lunch hour. You may either bring a bag lunch or purchase a lunch (sub, drink and chips) for $5.
Ranald Macaulay was born in South Africa. He studied Law at Cambridge University where he became a Christian. After time studying and working with Francis Schaeffer in Switzerland, he took a Theology Degree at Kings College London. In 1970 he, with his wife Susan Schaeffer Macaulay, founded the English L'Abri where they worked for over 20 years. Currently he is the coordinator for the work of Christian Heritage based at the Round Church in Cambridge, England.
Christian Heritage is committed to demonstrating to our contemporary society that Christianity was and is a living faith with the power to change people and therefore to shape history.
There is no fee to attend the conference. To help us prepare for the conference we request participants to register. Please send the following information to
