First Presbyterian Church of Schenectady, NY
Spring Concert Series at First Pres
Our Goal: It is our desire to impact our city and surrounding regions with the Biblical message of Jesus Christ, that as a community, so freed and transformed, we would worship God, invite others to experience His life-changing power, and reach people around the world for His glory.
This Week at First Pres
On Saturday, May 19, we will host a marvelous 7 pm concert by the chorale from Philadelphia Biblical University. Their program will include arrangements of hymns and spirituals as well as sacred choral classics. They will remain overnight to sing at both morning worship services on the 20th. Pastor Roff's sermon will examine Jesus' well-know "Parable of the Sower" (actually, it's the parable of the soils!). On Wednesday May 16, there will be a special end-of-the-season "Fun Fair" for kids as part of this final Wednesday night dinner ministry before we break for the summer. Next week, we will host another concert. On Thursday evening, May 31, it's the Sky family from Prince Edward Island, in a program of Celtic music, with "blazing fiddles and Irish folk dance."
